Robert J. Berney is a Florida CPA and a partner of Berney & Abitante CPA's PL. Formerly of Hirsh, Berney & Company, where he was a partner for more than fifteen years, he graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, MO with a BSBA, as well as an MBA with a concentration in accounting. He received much of his early accounting, audit and tax training while working for Ernst & Young in Miami for five years.
Robert is a member of both the AICPA and FICPA and is quite active in the community. He has served as Vice President, Financial Secretary, Treasurer and member of the Board of Directors of Temple Beth Am in Miami since 1988 and as Campaign Treasurer for various political candidates.
In addition, Robert has testified as an expert witness in Dade and Broward Counties on various litigation matters.
Robert has been a Registered Representative of Guzman & Co. since 1999 and holds both a series 6 and series 63 securities license.
Robert's expertise is in tax and estate planning, analyzing complex financial problems and creating alternative solutions.
